When you’re struggling to get pregnant, it’s an incredibly emotional time. It may leave you feeling confused, frustrated, lonely and even depressed. The sooner you are able to accept the reality of your situation, the sooner you’ll be able to take steps toward getting pregnant.
Do make lifestyle changes that make you feel empowered.
When you can’t seem to get pregnant, it can leave you feeling like even your own body is out of your control, and that can make the whole situation that much more frustrating. This is the perfect time to start taking control over the areas of your life that you do have power over, and a great way to do that is by making lifestyle changes that could improve your chances of getting pregnant. These include limiting your alcohol and caffeine intake, quitting smoking, eating healthier and exercising on a regular basis. If your BMI is not in the normal range, increase your chances of getting pregnant by gaining or losing the appropriate amount of weight.
Don’t settle for IVF because you think it’s your only option.
IVF is the most popular fertility treatment available today, and that’s probably why many women struggling to get pregnant think that IVF is the only way. This can leave many couples feeling hopeless because IVF is not exactly cheap, and it’s not something most families can afford without serious planning. But, the good news is that there are other options out there that don’t cost as much and that aren’t as invasive, such as ovulation pills. Be sure to ask your doctor about all of your options before deciding on any fertility treatment, IVF or otherwise.
